The first phase of this study required the coalition to conduct a statewide study, Understanding and Improving Family Planning Services through Language Assistance. The outcome of this project is a portrait of challenges and opportunities for language assistance in NYS’s family planning health centers. Phase two of the study will focus on the development of a model program for providing effective language assistance services. The study is funded by the National Institutes of Health.
